Christening Card - using Lili of the Valley Stamp

Well Hello again, and thanks for dropping by.

I had some very positive comments on my first post, and hopefully I have sorted out any problems and issues raised. if not, please do comment and help me out.

So this is a Christening card made for my boyfriends Goddaughter (our niece).

it is a 6x6 twisted easel card featuring a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp, coloured with Promarkers and backed using ek success scissor circle (and AMAZING tool) on create and craft satin card and then a cute doily.

I have then used some DCWV girl power backing paper and more create and craft satin card.

I used organza ribbon around the middle, more create and craft satin card for the bunting, and American Crafts twine to hang the bunting from.

I embellished the bunting with micro buttons, and added a couple of little purple buttons on the bottom right hand edge

Finally I used wrapping paper to line the bottom of the card, and finished it off by adding 3 coordinating paper flowers/buds to make the card stand up.

Well that's all for now folks.

Thanks again for popping by

My very first blog post, using SBS Roxie mermaid

Well hello there!

This is my very first blog so please excuse any faults. I literally have no idea what im doing, so any help or advice would be appreciated.

So here is an 8x8 twisted easel card I made for the Simply Betty Stamps July Challenge, Good versus Evil. I chose to use Roxie the good mermaid, because she's beautiful with her flowing hair, and her cute little seahorse pal! I love to use SBS stamps because they're so fun, and easy to work with.

I used Promarkers to colour the image, and enhanced the bubbles by using some rangers glossy accents (which I LOVE) I matted and layered my image onto some dcwv card that complimented the colours I'd used in the image itself.

I made the shell from Hunkydory adorable scorable card and also the wave card is from Hunkydory. The paper used on the bottom of the card is from the First Edition Paper pad "New Bloom", and for added embellishment I used some corrugated paper strips from The Range to make the bow along the bottom; some yellow sticky back pearls; some purple papermania sticky back star gems; some purple organza ribbon; some gold rub ons for the sentiment and a little glittery foam fish (also from The Range)

Finally to give the card some movement I added a strip of acetate with a Hunkydory seahorse dangling from it.

Cute eh!
